Bethlehem Health Bureau
Public Health Preparedness
Division
The Public Health Preparedness Division of the Bethlehem
Health Bureau is committed to improving the public’s
health by advancing the City of Bethlehem’s response
to health-related emergencies through the development and
implementation of preparedness plans, surveillance, disease
management, and enhanced communications. In addition, we actively
educate the public on how to prepare themselves for a variety
of disasters and emergencies that commonly occur in our area.
GET READY BETHLEHEM
This year marks the 2nd annual Get Ready Bethlehem initiative,
sponsored by the Bethlehem Health Bureau, which encourages
Bethlehem city residents and businesses to become prepared
for natural disasters, disease outbreaks, and other possible
emergencies.
Last year, Health Bureau staff went to a variety of community
fairs, Block Watch meetings, civic organizations, and other
community locations to educate and encourage citizens to “get
ready”. We performed numerous educational presentations
throughout the community on this important topic. This year,
we would like to reach out to those organizations and individuals
that we previously may not have contacted. Our goal is to
increase knowledge and preparedness among City of Bethlehem
residents and stakeholders through educational programs emphasizing
the four P’s of preparedness: Plan, Prepare, Practice,
and Protect.
Please continue to check our website for information on upcoming
Get Ready Bethlehem activities
and presentations
